Flash One wurde im Jahr 1982 von der renommierten amerikanischen Malerin und Bildhauerin Dorothy Hafner für Rosenthal entwickelt und ist ein Kultobjekt dieser Ära. Alle Teile dieser Serie sind mit Blick auf Funktionalität entwickelt worden - trotzdem sind es kleine Kunstwerke in sich selbst. Dorothy Hafner sagt über ihr Schaffen: "Ich hoffe, dass Jahre später meine Arbeit von den Zeiten erzählt, in denen ich lebe, und deren Pulsschlag und Rhythmus widerspiegelt".
